Unlike my skincare routine that stays pretty consistent overall, my makeup choices change pretty often so I like to keep you guys updated on what I’m slathering on my face! Based on my statistics this seems to be one of the most (if not THE most) well received topic on the blog. So I’m giving you guys what you want, let’s jump into it!
+ RMK makeup base
Hands down the best primer I’ve tried in my life ಥಒ್ಲಥ If you’re as into the hydrated, glowy look as I am than you need to AT LEAST try this guy out. Not to be confused with the Western ideal of “glow” which is more of a sparkling, powdery, highlight glow (such as the Becca backlight priming filter). This gives a true hydrated and moist finish. RMK is a Japanese brand and to be honest I haven’t dabbled into a lot of J-cosmetics aside from like Dolly Wink and Canmake ha~ but this has blown me away. I really want to try their liquid foundation once I’ve gone through all the ones I currently own. So yeah, probably next year!
+ KLAIRS illuminating supple blemish cream
I really enjoy how light this bb cream is! It doesn’t feel heavy at all and it leaves my face looking healthy and bright. That being said there is only 1 shade available and it best fits beige skintones. If you are on the more pale side or darker than a light tan this will not look natural. It has light coverage that is somewhat buildable but if you’re looking to cover acne scarring or pits I would put my money towards a product that will help with those needs, this ain’t it.
+ TATCHA the pearl tinted eye illuminating treatment < moonlight >
Well look who decided to stick around, this baby isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Like I stated in my previous routine, this has been the only product that has helped in brightening my under eye. For my everyday look no concealer is needed after applying this. It’s marketed as “skincare makeup” but I personally wouldn’t recommend using this as an eye cream •᷄⌓•᷅
+ KLAIRS creamy & natural fit concealer
This concealer works very well with it’s bb cream counterpart. Again it only comes in 1 shade but it’s the perfect shade and consistency for the illuminating bb cream. Overall I like it, it does what it needs to do and it’s affordable. That being said I still think The Saem tip concealer is the best concealer in the world and I will continuously repurchase it. I just really wanted to try this one and I will definitely finish it up!
+ 3CE overtake
Probably the most sought-after A/W palette in the K-Beauty world I can think of. I mean honestly the whole Mood Recipe line gives me life! ٩(*´◒`*)۶♡ I had to play around with it a little bit to figure out what would work for me. From what I’ve gathered I’m neutral toned and can do a little bit of both sides but not EVERYTHING in cool/warm tones will be forgiving on me. This is more on the warm side so some combinations are tragic but this particular combo has been my go to lately.
+ ETUDE HOUSE bk806 sunflower seed < nuts&fruits collection >
As soon as I saw this I HAD TO HAVE IT. Yo, I am a literal squirrel with glitter-type shadows. It looks really good by itself but also layered on top of any other shadows. For this particular look I place it into the inner-corners for a little sparkle.
+ ESTEE LAUDER sumptuous extreme primer & mascara
These days I’m not a huge fan of two-step mascara BUT it can’t be helped. The results are worth the extra few seconds. These little guys elongate and add volume to my lashes with no mess. It’s also easy to remove which my eyes are thankful for.
+ JOAH brow down to me < brunette >
I’ll be honest I was never really into this brand and I’m still not. I don’t like the cheap looking packaging and I don’t like how they blatantly piggyback off of Korean brands. There’s really no need (or want imo) for “Korean inspired brands” when we can just have the real thing. But anyway that’s me being a negative nancy. I bought this on a whim because I needed an inexpensive brow product right away, I had just run out of my Etude House drawing eyebrow pen. I decided to give this one a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I probably won’t repurchase it if I can get my hands on what I really want which is a brow pen from 3CE. But if I’m in a bind I’ll probably go to it again.
+ VELY VELY sculpt line contour duo
This is another product that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I like to use it on the outside of my face to give it some dimension and on my nose. I don’t contour my cheeks because I like them to look full.
+ FRANK BODY illuminator
This is the highlighter for you if you want to add to the hydrated, glowy look. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and that’s why this guy made it into this routine again.
+ 3CE rose beige < mood recipe collection >
Basically the only blush you really need ( ͡°⁄ ⁄ ͜⁄ ⁄ʖ⁄ ⁄ ͡°) okay I’m going over my head here but it is a really nice every day blush! It can be used as eyeshadow too, been there. It was a little annoying to purchase because all the 3CE US sellers had the two other shades except this one. Which is the one most people want. So I had to order it from Korea and wait…and wait..and wait till it arrived. Yeah, I have no chill. Help.
+ 3CE #muss < mood recipe collection >
Do you see a pattern here? I swear I’m not promoting I just have a thing with this collection and Muss is the perfect MLBB shade for the season.
+ ETUDE HOUSE honey cera lip oil
Anytime I’m going to wear a matte lip product I always apply a lip oil underneath to prevent dry, cracked looking lips. This one works really well and is affordable. It has no weird scent and it’s not sticky.
+ VELY VELY setting fixer
Would you believe me if I told you this makeup setting spray is way better than Urban Decay? Well I probably wouldn’t believe me either. I swear it’s true though. It has more product in it and about the same price too. I will never go back to Urban Decay after using this one!
Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know in the comments!
