Can you tell I’m ready for September? I’m really rushing this month not that I have any actual power over that! Fall is my favorite season of the year. We definitely aren’t there yet though so let’s head into some things I was really loving this month.
TRADER JOES MACARONS
I am so snooty with macarons, good luck getting me to find something better than Laduree. I’ve done just that though! At around 4.99$ a box these are way more affordable and taste just as good. Even after being in the fridge it still retains it’s softness which many don’t do. So dangerous to have in the house! My favorite flavors are chocolate, fig and pistachio.
MEMEBOX I DEW CARE MASKS
For my birthday my husband went over to Ulta and bought a ton of different Korean masks and goodies. I wasn’t expecting much since Ulta totally overprices their Korean beauty section. BUT WOW! These masks are legit. My favorite masks of all time are from Hello Skin and these are coming in second, hands down! Each one does exactly what it promises and leaves my skin feeling so soft. It takes a lot to really wow me with masks but these were a no brainer.
CINDERELLA OF BOSTON FOXY SILHOUETTE PUMPS
This shop is a godsend for ladies with petite feet and a love for fashionable heels. I own 4 styles in total and they are all drastically different in comfort level. I’m a size 3.5 M normally in heels. I’ve realized that if I hit a 3 inch heel, I’m doomed. But anything below that I can manage comfortably. The only time that rule doesn’t apply is if it’s a platform heel that offers more stability. These are my newest babies and I absolutely love them! They are so amazingly comfortable and are such a classic. I decided to go with nude because it’s easy to pair with a lot of clothes and colors. I’m definitely going to get them in black as well. I managed to get this pair on sale for about 30% off the original price which was a total steal. They tend to be a bit pricey so I wait for sales.
At first I was pretty hesitant about getting this style and even my husband warned me against it. Before going to Korea last year I bought a black pair on Amazon (surprisingly in my size, don’t see it on there anymore though). I can’t remember the brand and to be honest it was my fault for not testing them out. Well I ended up wearing them on a night out in Hongdae to go clubbing and the clubbing never happened because I felt like the little mermaid with knives stabbing my feet with every step. I couldn’t walk and my husband ran around everywhere trying to find some gel insoles to save the night but to no avail. I stood glued to one spot in the freezing cold with my mini dress and long coat! While we proceeded to use small pads (yeah, like period pads) and toilet paper in a dark alleyway (thank god for the mazes upon mazes of alleys in Hongdae) to see if that would help. NOTHING! We ended up getting a taxi back home, ordering chicken and calling it a night. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that with these! Fun times.
I’m obsessed with this show! It’s so freaking good. If you’re not into sexual themes in shows definitely steer clear! My favorite character is Charlotte and so far this season I’m enjoying the relationship between Lord Fallon and Lucy it’s really sexy in a super dark and twisted way of course.
Even though I’m not a huge fan of Stephen King’s writing style in Horror I do appreciate the movie adaptations of many of his novels. So I was really excited when this show was being advertised. I’m a sucker for most horror (except gore, it’s boring). This has a lot of psychological themes and so much mystery that it keeps me guessing each episode. Definitely a must watch for any horror junkie.
