As with most things these days I came across this lipstick while surfing through Naver! It was in a lot of Sulli (former FX member) airport fashion posts.
If you didn’t already know, Sulli is the face of Estee Lauder in Korea. If you haven’t seen the commercials yet I highly recommend going on Youtube and checking them out!
Point is, I really had to have it! There are plenty of Korea-only releases with western brands and seeing how gorgeous the packaging was I was expecting this to be one of those instances. Luckily for me (and you) it’s also available on the US Estee Lauder website for a limited time. You can check it out here!
The casing is in a beautiful rose gold and red/transparent ombre. The lipstick itself has a heart engraved on either side. It definitely has some weight to it and does not feel cheap.
It’s said to be a universal red that will flatter any woman. You can definitely build it up to a pure red but also wear it lightly as a more pink shade. I think of it as a raspberry tone.
Heart Throb is a matte type and I am not generally a matte girl so I always pair it up with a good lip balm underneath and a lip gloss on top.
+ It’s only 22$ which I believe is a great price for a high end lipstick AND if you join the rewards program you get 18% off your first online order (no price minimum) + a deluxe sample
+ This lipstick has free shipping attached to it, who doesn’t love free shipping
+ flattering red color for many (if not all) skin tones
+ AND THE PACKAGING, HELLO!
+ It’s not a long lasting lipstick, you will need to r-apply after eating or drinking
+ Since it’s limited edition you won’t be able to re-purchase in the future
