The first thing I noticed about this line was that it was very similar to what Korean brands put out on the market in that it claimed mega hydration and provided multiple steps like toner, essence, night mask, etc. Needless to say as a lover of Korean Beauty I was very intrigued. I’ve had great experiences with Lancôme in the past so I was very excited to give these a go!
TONIQUE CONFORT COMFORTING REHYDRATING TONER
PRODUCT CLAIMS The instantly soothing formula made with honey and sweet almond extract gives skin a soft, fresh, clean, and incredibly comfortable feeling. Great for all skin types, it deeply hydrates for a healthy-looking complexion.
MY THOUGHTS From the pictures it probably looks like a pretty magical and hydrating toner! But I’ll be honest I didn’t apply this on my face. I couldn’t! The smell was so artificial that I couldn’t see any good coming from it. So I applied it on my hand instead. That artificial smell is long-lasting, so those who are sensitive to smell I’d recommend going in-store and taking a whiff before making a purchase. Another thing that I found less than satisfactory is how wide the opening is, I’m used to toners having a small opening so as not to waste product. This makes you pour way more toner than you really need each application. As far as the performance of the product itself well.. Let’s just say there’s plenty of Korean toners out there at a better price range, with better smell and similar results.
HYDRA ZEN ANTI-STRESS MOISTURIZING CREAM-GEL
Before I go into another negative rant can we just take a look at the beautiful packaging for a moment. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the jar feels very luxurious when you’re holding it.
PRODUCT CLAIMS This refreshing, rose-infused gel-cream is formulated with salicylic acid delivers 24-hour hydration for skin that feels smooth, comfortable, and nourished. The lightweight and oil-free formula reduces dullness and signs of fatigue—delivering a radiant and healthier-looking complexion. Redness and irritations are soothed as skin becomes more resistant to environmental aggressors.
MY THOUGHTS Again with this horrid smell! It’s pungent! This time it’s not an artificial smell, it’s more like walking into your grandmas room after she’s sprayed way too much rose perfume. I, again, recommend going in-store to take a whiff before purchasing. I’m not sensitive to smells at all but this is just over the top.
As far as the cream itself, It absorbs into the skin very quickly which is great for people with oily skin. Though I didn’t see any reduction in redness or instant radiance. I don’t think this will offer enough hydration for people with dry skin though. I have oily-combo and it just wasn’t as hydrating as I’m used to these days. My emulsion (which I’m using in place of a moisturizer this Summer) is more hydrating than this cream. Which says a lot since emulsions are mostly water-based.
L’ABSOLU LACQUER < 378 be unique – fuchsia >
PRODUCT CLAIMS This brilliant lip lacquer combines the comfort and shine of a gloss, the pigment of a lipstick, and the lasting power of a stain. The high-shine finish and vivid color payoff are buildable from sheer to full coverage in as little as three coats. Lancôme’s innovative oil-in-water emulsion is lightweight and non-sticky, providing up to six hours of wear. Enriched with glycerin, this formula keeps lips feeling hydrated throughout the day.
MY THOUGHTS I absolutely adore this formula! It’s just… WOW! The color is extremely vibrant and juicy! My lips looked very hydrated without that drippy lip gloss look. It’s definitely like a hydrating tint. It has no particular smell, thank goodness. They describe this particular shade as being in the fuchsia family but more like a long lost cousin. Reminds me more of a watermelon shade. The working time is short so you really need to blend it out quickly. It looked gorgeous even after eating! This is date night material 💗
These pictures were taken after eating some sweets at a local bakery!
