I mainly stick to showing you guys Korean makeup and skincare (mainly makeup), but every now and then a US product becomes ‘all the rage’ in Korea! So I’d like to throw this in the mix today. I follow a lot of regular Korean girls that love makeup on Instagram as well as sift through the beauty blogs on Naver to stay as up to date as I can be. Which can be hard from across the world. I do my best.

BOBBI BROWN crushed lip color < ruby >

There are 12 shades in this collection and I decided on Ruby because I’ve been scrounging for a red that is suitable for me. I have this weird problem where most reds look pink on my lips. Even favorites like Nars cruella and MAC ruby woo have all been pink fails in the past. I’ve found a true winner in this line! Although I don’t think my pictures hardly do it justice!

It’s marketed as a formula with the look of a lipstick and the feel of a balm that is long lasting due to it leaving a stain on your lips even after eating. I’m pretty sure that’s why it’s hyped in Korea right now, you can’t go wrong with a tint or stain! Ruby is the most popular shade, red is a big favorite for lipsticks.

It’s extremely wearable in the daytime! Reds can be scary sometimes but I felt so comfortable with this one. It feels light weight and moisturizing enough. You can do an ombre, light application or full application easily. I usually don a light application which I spread with my fingers.

Overall I’m really happy with my purchase and this line from Bobbi Brown! I definitely understand why it’s a hit even in Korea. I look forward to showing you guys more of what the Korean beauty world has to offer in products and insight!

With the overload of Korean skincare in the media as of lately, Korean makeup has really been cast to the side. Korean makeup is a HUGE portion of Korean beauty and so I want to do my best to bring that to light!

Oh wow. This looks like a very wearable red that I would look into (and I never wear red lipstick, I generally lean more towards pink). I have the shade ‘telluride’ and I really love it for autumn/winter. The formula is definitely a win!

That color looks so nice on you! I’ve never really used Bobbi Brown products before because I usually tend to stick to Korean lip tints but this post really makes me want to try out their lipsticks!
