HYGGE HYDRACLAY DETOX MASK $32
This clay mask is inspired by hyyge (hoo-ga), the Danish word for the coziness and comfort that comes from life’s simple pleasures.
It’s made with a unique fusion of kaolin clay and five botanical oils to purify while replenishing essential moisture. It also soothes and reduces visible redness. But don’t be fooled—even as it comforts and helps reduce the look of redness, this hardworking mask draws out dirt, oil, and impurities with a deep cleansing action, leaving skin feeling refreshed and nourished.
Apply a thick layer to a clean, dry face and neck
Leave on for 10 minutes
Rinse off with water or remove with a damp wash cloth
Follow with the Ole Henriksen serum or moisturizer of your choice
Use two to three times per week
When first applying it I felt a tingling/burning sensation, that feeling didn’t last very long though. Unlike some clay masks that harden and feel like your face is pinched while you wait to wash it off, this one doesn’t fully harden and so it feels smooth and it was easy to forget it was even on my face while I was watching TV and surfing through my social media. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering. Once I rinsed it off my face felt very clean, but it did not feel stripped or dry like some products can leave you feeling. In regards to it’s claims of reducing redness, I have to give it a thumbs up. Redness is one of my biggest skincare concerns and I did see a reduction right after washing it off. Overall, I really enjoyed trying this product and I look forward to using it all up! The only cons I can think of are the price, it’s a little steep for a clay product and there isn’t much product inside, you’ll run out of it quickly. I wouldn’t purchase this on my own.
